All is quiet on the Pro-Life Front.
Any of you political junkies know whatever happended to our "pro-life" Leader's promised veto for Senate Bill S.5: The Embryonic Stem-Cell killing Bill? I've been waiting . . . and waiting . . .and waiting . . .Nothing. But our Leader pounced on this Iraq Resolution fiercely like a lion. I've tried and probably spent at least 30 minutes trying to find out if Bush failed to veto this. Curiously, there's really nothing googling as a direct match. I've tried various Catholic news and bioethics websites trying to find an answer . . . really no luck at all. Apparently, a President has only 10 days to Veto a Bill. Well, it's been way more than 10 days. I don't want to believe that Bush went along with this; but all indications seem to be that he did. And I haven't heard a peep about it; I did take a little break from the news though. So, what's the scoop smart and knowledgeable people out there? Did Bush betray the Pro-Life movement again? Just like he did when he didn't actively oppose the FDA's approval of the Morning After Death Pill, making every house and apartment a potential abortion clinic. msnbc.msn.com/18412464/ (I tried to make a blue link; don't know how) says Bush has only issued two vetos. He still hasn't vetoed the S.5 Bill. Foiled again . . . And please, all the people who are going to make this into a reasons for pro-embryonic killing versus anti-embryonic killing thread. Start your own page! Please stick to the political question.

IIRC, the S.5 bill is currently in reconcilliation with a similar
House bill (HR.3) and has not yet been presented to the President.
