I was only able to DVR the first two or three episodes, and then it was yanked from the schedule (DVR and listed schedule) with no advance warning.

I thinking History Channel only aired some of the episodes.

I would add to your list the Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown series on CNN, which I watch from time to time and find interesting.
