Some times are morally healthier than others.
I think we're living in an age when those identified by dominant ideological institutions as the "best of us" are unlikely to be anything of the sort Best of Europe????? Best of France???? I'm beginning to warm to Brexit

I don't understand what you're saying. Stalin, Hitler and Mao made
abortion illegal. I would assume abortion was also not easily
accessible in Pol Pot's Cambodia considering the agrarian Hell he turned
it into. Simone Veil was also a Holocaust survivor, so comparing her to
Hitler seems a bit distasteful.
