Russia calls snap military drills, raising concern in Poland Quote: MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced snap military drills on land and in the Black and Caspian Sea, the defense ministry said on Thursday. The drills began at 7:00 a.m. (0400 GMT) Moscow time in Russia’s southern, western and central military districts where troops have been put on combat alert, the ministry said in a statement. Russian television led its news bulletins with images of heavy weaponry and tanks on the move and troops in full combat gear running to grab their weapons from the ammunition storage . . . In Poland, which has been wary of Moscow’s actions, the defense ministry said Minister Antoni Macierewicz ordered a briefing of the heads of the armed forces’ Operational Command, Military Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence. As most of the media had already been purchased, everything was falling into place for them, looked like Hillary was going to win in a landslide compared to Trump, now due to the WikiLeaks not so much, I can't imagine they are happy with that, nor accepting of it in the least. Especially since Clinton could end up in jail. The Obama administration and Clinton don't exactly strike me as the 'fair game' and 'graceful in defeat' type. She knows perhaps better than most that the US no longer has the military or economic stamina to "do something stupid" militarily. Russia may be posturing in an attempt to influence the US election... ... or maybe they are just rehearsing for their next military incursion.

What worries me most is the economy, government spending, and the impossible US national debt. It won't be long before that house of cards falls apart. That will be bad, extremely bad, but not all bad. Maybe it will be our own Babylonian Exile, figuratively speaking of course, and after hard times we (even the whole world) will come out better for it. In the short run, I'm worried. In the long run, I'm optimistic. The Lord works in a mysterious way, his wonders to perform. Do not despair. Seek first the kingdom, and so on.

Re: Russia calls snap military drills, raising concern in Poland I am not bothering myself wondering what Putin will do. I am too worried about what Hillary is going to do in office. That is what we should be concerned about. That is our biggest problem. We as voters have an opportunity to prevent that from happening. We have too many issues in our back yard to try and worry about correcting the rest of the world. Let's correct ourselves first.
